Working as a Highly Impactful Teaching Assistant

This course will provide an opportunity for teaching assistants to reflect on current working practices and consider new strategies to create greater impact in the classroom. The course will run over two sessions, 8 October 2025 and 10 October 2025, 9:00-11:30am BST (UTC+1).

Description

Delivered by Alpha International Training, this course will look at the role of teaching assistants in creating impact, working alongside the teacher, promoting positive behaviour, engaging children in active learning and some key strategies to support teaching and learning to inspire and motivate.

Eva Cartwright 

With a background in primary teaching and early years provision, Eva is passionate about supporting professionals to direct attention to what really matters, focusing on building confidence, motivation and independence to shape a generation of young people who make positive impact in the world.   

Eva has been delivering training and supporting settings in developing consistency between teachers and TAs for over twenty years and now leads the team at Alpha International Training in delivering a variety of training programmes, qualifications and short courses (including the COBIS Diploma for International Teaching Assistants) in over 50 countries worldwide.
