Through the three layers, Darren Coxon will explore how AI can:
- accelerate many day-to-day functions like scheme of work and lesson planning, policy writing and differentiated material creation;
- enable us to gain greater insights from school data, from surveys to student progress;
- move learning on in surprising and delightful ways without AI robbing students of vital 'productive struggle'.
Darren will also touch on the importance of AI literacy - equipping teachers and students with the knowledge to become discerning users of AI tools. Prepare for your minds to be blown by the massive potential of AI as a multi-purpose educational tool.

Darren Coxon
Darren Coxon is a senior education professional with a career spanning over 25 years in both UK and international schools. In his most recent role as Chief Operating Officer of Britus Education, Darren oversaw academic operations in nine international schools in the MENA region.
His innovative approach to education is evident in his track record, which in 2011 included leading the first 1:1 iPad implementation in a UK 6th form and being part of the first cohort of Apple Professional Development Authorised Trainers. Darren also managed the first phase development of Brighton Colleges in Bangkok and Dubai. These schools balance traditional classrooms with open-plan learning spaces, reflecting his commitment to innovative school design. Darren is Chair of the COBIS ConnectED group into AI and the future of education. He is one of the founding members of the Education 3.0 Council, a newly formed group created to support schools across the world as they look to changing their practice to reflect where schools now need to head if they are to remain relevant into the 21st Century.
Darren is also a prolific writer and speaker on the topic of AI in education. He is currently writing a book on the impact of AI on the future of schools and maintains a popular weekly blog and podcast on the subject. His work has been recognised by his peers, with one of his recent sessions on AI for educational leaders from more than 50 countries being praised as one of the best in communicating AI in a simple, understandable, and useful way.
