Integrating Best Digital Pedagogy into your School Programme

Delivered by Sophia High School, this free workshop for COBIS members will explore how schools can make better use of innovative technologies and digital learning environments to enhance the student experience in transformational ways. This session will take place on 14 October 9:00-12:00pm BST

Description

The use of technology and emerging digital tools can be transformational for teachers, both with regards to student engagement, and teachers’ evolving practice online and in the classroom. We will explore a curated selection of digital tools and hybrid education pedagogy basics to demonstrate how creative, confident use of these tools and strategies can impact student outcomes in a range of learning environments.

• Minecraft – supporting learning across all curriculum areas Minecraft as a tool to develop coding, engage learners through mathematical and language-based problems, and also foster leadership, teamwork and creative problem solving, is making huge steps to become embedded practice in schools around the world.

• Curipod – Maximising best use of teacher time, engaging students across dimensions Using AI to develop engaging, meaningful and personalised lessons and learning for student groups, saving teachers time and reducing stress. It really couldn’t be easier.

• Canva – a teacher toolkit which transforms independent learning Content sharing, evidence keeping, access to student learning completed inside and outside the classroom, CANVA is evolving to be one of the key tools’ teachers use engaging students with a range of needs.

• Esports Leadership – Getting started, first steps, pathway to success. Validating the skillset of a wide range of learners as a staring point for student engagement, esports can be the bridge between what we want learners to learn, accessing wider curriculum content, and student re-engagement.

The session will include short video lessons showing creative use of each tool, with immediate access to lead teachers who build these tools into their daily practice, answering key questions and focusing on meeting school needs.
