Introduction to filming and editing your own school films

Delivered by Eye Film, this four-hour interactive course will provide an introduction to filming and editing your own school films. This course will take place on 25 May 2023 at 16.00-20.00 BST (UTC+1).

Course outcomes:

  • Introduction to the types of short films you can make for your school
  • Practical training in how to film on your phone and get the most from it
  • Practical training in how to film on your DSLR camera and get the most from it
  • Practical training in how to get the best from an interview
  • Introduction to editing Adobe editing software, either Premiere Pro or Premiere Elements
  • How to edit your film
  • Where you can find and add music into your film
  • How to export your film for different platforms and get it online

Additional information:

This interactive online course is delivered by Eye Film and will only be confirmed once minimum numbers have been met. Participant numbers are limited and early booking is recommended.

Format:

Online, with some practical demonstrations included.  Access to your own equipment and editing software, such as Premiere Pro or Premiere Elements, would be helpful but not essential during the training.
