A seven-hour course delivered in two sessions over two days (11 November and 18 November).
A useful and practical course to increase awareness of the science of wellbeing and introduce the role of positive psychology interventions to increase flourishing.
- Develop an understanding of the mental health continuum and the research into flourishing, languishing, mental illness, and recovery.
- Be aware of the two common wellbeing frameworks, PERMA (American) and 5 ways (advocated by the British government) and their wellbeing measures.
- Be aware of the vast evidence-base behind the five foundations of wellbeing and their importance to positive mental health.
This course is delivered by a specialist child and adolescent mental health nurse with 20 years of experience working in the UK’s NHS and as a former mental health consultant and trainer for Cambridgeshire schools.

This seven-hour, interactive online course is delivered for COBIS by Mental Health and Wellbeing Training Ltd. Participant numbers are limited.

Rachel Ewan: Registered Mental Health Nurse with a BSc in Mental Health Studies from King’s College London. 20 years’ experience working within the NHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) and now runs a private consultancy and training company. Has a PGCE and is completing an MSc in Positive Psychology from the University of East London.
