Delivered by The Safeguarding Alliance, this two-hour online session is specifically designed for Safeguarding Governors. It will take place on 26 November 8:30-10:30 GMT

Description

This focused and interactive two-hour session is designed specifically for Safeguarding Governors in international school settings. Recognising the unique context and challenges of safeguarding overseas, this training provides essential guidance to ensure governors are fully equipped to fulfil their strategic responsibilities with confidence and clarity.

The session explores the core duties of the Safeguarding Governor role, including effective safeguarding oversight, how to carry out purposeful monitoring visits, understanding safer recruitment in an international context, and working with the Single Central Record (SCR) to promote a culture of safety and accountability.

Governors will gain insights into international safeguarding standards, the importance of contextual safeguarding, and how to challenge and support senior leaders constructively. With practical tools, case studies, and scenario-based learning, this session ensures participants leave with the knowledge and confidence to make a real impact in their safeguarding role.

Ideal for both newly appointed and experienced Safeguarding Governors.
