A tailored one-day training event for anyone working in an international school context, covering the basics of mental health and how to identify different mental health issues.
Description
The Youth Mental Health First Aid one-day course is relevant for Heads and Senior Leaders in international schools, and comes with an excellent manual and a certificate of attendance. It will last for approximately seven hours, including breaks, and will offer ample opportunity for interaction and reflection.

About the trainer:
Educated at Durham and Newcastle Universities, Dick Moore has been an English teacher and a rugby coach, and he was a headteacher for almost 23 years. He is also a father and grandfather! He has spoken at over 350 schools, businesses, universities and conferences around the world about his passion for the emotional and mental health of young people. Dick is an instructor for Mental Health First Aid, a trainer of the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust and attended an ASIST course focusing on suicide intervention. He has appeared on BBC Breakfast, ITN News, BBC Radio 5 Live and numerous local radio stations, and has given a TEDx talk in 2015 and a Head Talk in 2018. Dick has a passion for all sport (especially Fulham FC!), the Gallipoli Campaign, and the American Civil War.
