New to Teaching in the EYFS
Delivered by Early Excellence, each 90-minute session places focus on the key aspects of Early Childhood Education pedagogy; equipping you with the knowledge and skills that underpin a clear and principled approach to Early Years practice. It has been designed to support schools using the English Early Years Foundation Stage documentation to guide their practice. Description
Part 1: Child Development and a Rich EYFS Curriculum
We will look closely at the core components of the EYFS and explore how it connects withour understanding of child development theories.
Part 2: Creating Effective Continuous Provision in the EYFS
An opportunity for careful and reasoned considerations about the learning environment which you provide. We will also look closely at how you can connect your learning environment to your schools curriculum
Part 3: Ensuring Impactful Adult Interactions
Our final webinar will explore a wide range of elements. Consider the importance of relationships, your knowledge of children and your role in observing and documenting, supporting play and extending learning.
Supporting materials: Delegates will receive additional resources to use back school and to enrich their learning, including examples of continuous provision planning. Between each session there are suggested linked gap tasks.

This interactive online course is delivered by Early Excellence. Participant numbers are limited and early booking is recommended. The course will be confirmed once minimum numbers have been met.

Presenter
Phil Armstrong is our Head of Regional Development for the South of England as well as leading on our work with British International Schools. He is a member of the Strategic Leadership Team who shape the work of EEX. Previously Phil has worked for over 20yrs across the early years and primary sector, including teacher, leader and headship positions. Phil was also the head of an integrated early years centre. With a passion for collaborative practice and professional development; Phil has worked in partnership with early years settings, schools, teaching schools and local authorities to develop and deliver personalised programmes to meet their needs.
Target audience:
Teachers and support staff working in Early Years. Although designed for those new to working with younger children, we have found that more experienced staff have also benefitted from the course.
