Discover the tricks that our brains play on us and how we can support our students to overcome them through metacognition and self-regulated learning. This training course comes with a supplementary INSET resource that can be used to train and develop staff knowledge in your school.

This course will run over two sessions:

Presenter
Paul Sturtivant
As a lifelong learner and passionate advocate for educational equality, Paul brings over 15 years of teaching experience, including senior leadership roles. He has a successful track record of delivering high student outcomes, curriculum design, and leadership performance using an energetic, thoughtful, and evidenceled approach. Paul aims to positively impact as many students as possible through values-led change management and better use of implementation science. Above all else, he believes there is a better, kinder way of leading educational change. Paul has experience delivering CPD in leadership, curriculum design, and rapportbased behaviour management and runs student workshops to develop oracy, selfregulated learning, and metacognition. He has worked with schools to design their geography curriculum and study skills programmes. Paul has an NPQSL and is a Level 4 qualified coach, working with early-career teachers, senior leaders and principals. He has also taught and trained teachers in South Korea, China, Nepal, and South Africa teachers.
